Patrick Sarniak was born in Highland Park, Michigan and grew up in the Detroit Metropolitan area. His family had a diversified knowledge of both music and film. This is where his love for the performing arts began early on.
Patrick first started playing guitar at age 12. He acquired music theory, and the knowledge on how to play guitar from those that had been directly influenced or had been musically involved with Joe Walsh, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, George Clinton, The Carter Family, Dave Brubeck, George Benson, and Andrés Segovia. He was also mentored by Steven “Muruga” Booker.
Patrick’s interest in the sound of the guitar led him to research the records at The Detroit Main Public Library Patent and Trademark Resource Center. This is where he examined the construction of all guitar patents going back to the year 1890. That knowledge of music gave Patrick the ability to be in groups or projects that involve many various styles which include Blues, Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Motown, Country, Jazz, Traditional, European, Raga, and World.
Patrick Sarniak has performed on stage or has been involved in studio recording projects that include David Winans II, Barry Harris, Dwight Adams, James Carter, Perry Robinson, Steven “Muruga” Booker, and George Clinton. He also performed on stage or has been in projects with members of Ted Nugent’s “Amboy Dukes”, Mitch Ryder’s “Detroit” and “The Detroit Wheels”, and various members of George Clinton’s “P-Funk All Stars”.

Patrick was mentored by Steve Blackwood for professional acting and improvisational skills for stage and cinema that had been attained from Milton Katselas, Jeffrey Tambor, and Uta Hagen. He has appeared in several commercials and films including the movie “Approaching Midnight” which was released by Monterey Media in 2013.
He has worked at Talent Live Studios in Canton, Michigan as a studio musician, as well as producing and engineering projects that included artists such as Barry Harris and Dwight Adams.
